Memphis, Tenn., LB Marcus Robinson committed to Ole Miss on Thursday. His official visit reassured the three-star prospect reassurance that the Rebels
are the best fit for him.
"Everything," Robinson said about what stood out about his visit." "(Ole miss tight ends) Coach (Maurice) Harris was my main man.
"I just love coach Harris
and (Ole Miss head) coach (Hugh) Freeze. Those two recruited me when I was just a regular person. They
were always on me hardest so I felt it was the right decision for me. I just
want to tell the Hotty Toddy nation that the landsharks are in the water."
LB Rashawn Smith out of Florence, Ala., has never wavered in his commitment to Ole Miss. His visit did nothing to change his status.
"It's just home away from home," Smith said about the visit. "I
just feel so comfortable with their staff, campus, players and just the whole
"This is the only trip I plan on taking. Like I said, Ole Miss is my
home away from home. I'vee seen everything there is to see during my recruitment.
I just can't wait to get up here in May and get started."
Ath Bobby Hill out of Moultrie, Ga., had a monster senior season with over
1,000 yards receiving. His recruitment has picked up from opposing coaches
but the trip to Ole Miss has slammed the door shut on the competition.
"The trip went real good," Hill said. "I enjoyed myself. Everyone
was just so hospitable, the players and coaches. We're trying to get like a
bond. This is a big recruiting class coming in. The team is on the upswing and
you can just feel it."
"This was my fourth trip to Ole Miss and every time I enjoyed myself. That
was a big part of the reason why I committed. The fan base at Ole Miss stood
out to me on this trip. They're crazy.
"I also saw how much the program will
help you, not only on the field, but off the field and in the classroom. If
you graduate from Ole Miss they're going to make sure you have a job out of
"You have to look at where you're going for more than what they can
do for you on the field. It's the perfect fit for me."
Herbert Moore is another Memphis East player that is committed
to the Rebels. This visit only confirmed that he made the right choice the
"Everything was great, ever since the day I got there," Moore said.
"I just wanted to see how the coaches were and how the fans and atmosphere
around Ole Miss was and everything."
The 320-pound defensive tackle explained what he liked most.
"Everything, man. I can’t really even explain it. Everything’s
just so great at Ole Miss. Ole Miss is it, no one else. I’ll be there
in the summer."
Ath Derrick Jones out of Eupora, Miss., has been one of Ole
Miss' biggest vocal leaders.
"Man, it was great. I mean, there isn’t anything like it. I’ve
never witnessed nothing like Ole Miss in my life.”
On what he liked most:
“The people, they’re going to show you love. When you come and
support the players the way they do, the way they support Donte (Moncrief),
I expect to come up here and do the same thing.”
Did this trip reaffirm his visit?
“Hotty Toddy. We coming.”
