"I had a great visit," said Thomas. "We all had a good time just being together and talking with the players and the coaches.
"It was all a lot of fun and the best part was just being able to hang out with each other."
Thomas had the chance to spend the weekend getting to know fellow position mates Jamaal Clayborn, Kent Flowers and Deon Mix.
"You know we all kind of clicked from the start," said Thomas. "I like all of those guys and we all get along really well.
"It was fun just to be with each other and get to talk about the future and things like that."
Thomas was escorted by the Bulldogs' tattooed tough guy, Dillon Day.
"Dillon is a great guy," said Thomas. "He showed me a good time and he showed me around everywhere.
"I really like him a lot.
"He told me about all of the things that go on that aren't football related too."
Thomas was part of a visiting contingent that featured several of his teammates from the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star game.
"It was fun getting together with everybody again," said Thomas. "I liked being with everybody who came on the visit.
"It is going to be fun to be with all of those guys and fun to play together in college.
"I think it's going to be a lot of fun for our fans to watch too."
