Kameron Myers had a great senior season and turned a lot of heads with his performance in the MS/ AL all-star game. He's one of the most underrated prospects out there, and all he's looking for is an opportunity to show what he can do. He talks about his options in this interview with GoldenEaglePride.com.

All Charleston stand-out athlete Kameron Myers needs is a chance.

The talented and versatile playmaker knows he can have an impact at the next level. He proved it with a fantastic showing against the best from Mississippi and Alabama, and as his coach pointed out, he's one of the hardest working players in the state.

Myers took a few minutes to update the latest in an interview with GoldenEaglePride.com today.

"I've been thinking a lot about recruiting honestly," he said. "I want to decide what I'm going to do for college and where I'll be going.

"My phone has been off but its back on and I'm hoping more coaches will be calling."

Right now, he's hearing from a few schools and he is hoping a few more get in the mix.

"I'm hearing from UAB and Hines called today as well," he said. "I really feel like a few more will call in the next week or so. I'll be taking a visit to UAB soon so hopefully I'll get an offer from them."

One school he's really hoping to hear from is Southern Miss.

"I love the coach from Oklahoma State and I know the offense is going to be wide open," he said. "I love what they'll be doing and I'd love the chance to show what I can do down there.

"I have a cousin who goes to school there but he's not a player."

Myers was an offensive stand-out in the MS/AL all star game, and he said the opportunity was one he's very thankful for.

"It was great," he said. "I met a lot of players just like me. I love my teammates from Mississippi, and I took advantage of the opportunity that God gave me. All I can do now is leave it up to the coaches who will recruit me."

He talked also about what is most important to him as a member of a team.

"I put my team first, always," he said. "When it was time to play, I was just in it for the team and coaches to win it. I describe myself as a good teammate, its not about me but about what we can do together."

Myers projects as a player similar to Tracey Lampley for the Eagles.

"I can be a return guy who can catch passes out of the slot and also can be used as a running back," he said. "I have the ability to break-away if I get in some open space."

Myer's Coach said he was clocked at a 4.4 40.

He knew of Lampley and would love the chance to be like him.

"I've heard a lot about him, and I'd love to step in his shoes and try to be that type of player."

Myers said he plans on taking a visit to Southern Miss sometime in January.
