Chandler Rogers :: Senior Journal 4

Senior QB Chandler rogers from Brookhaven Academy is providing a regular journal entry for football fans to read. Here is his fourth entry.

Last week was a huge win for our football team.

We came into the game knowing they would be the most physical challenge for us yet. They did not prove otherwise. We left there bitten by the injury bug. Our starting strong safety was put out of the game the previous week with a broken collar bone. Last Friday night, our weak side linebacker and our back up safety were both left with ankle injuries.

This week we face the Centreville Academy Tigers in our homecoming game. This cooler streak of weather has given our team a boost of energy in practice this week. Although homecoming week is filled with distractions, we have managed to block those out and focus on the task at hand.

Last season, meeting with Centreville did not disappoint as we won a thriller in double overtime with a score on 57-56. However, that was last season. It is time to put the past aside and turn our attention to this year's team.

Whenever Brookhaven and Centreville meet, it is always a hard fought battle. Our team looks forward to the challenge.
